About Sacred Renewal
-
Sacred Renewal is a woman-founded, woman-owned business that provides compassionate guidance and facilitates client development of embodied practice, leading to lasting transformation through online courses, small-group sessions, and one-on-one coaching.
-
Sacred Renewal helps people cultivate inner steadiness and peace, presence, self-compassion, self-awareness, the ability to hold conflicting emotions, and a deeper capacity for joy, whatever this may look like for YOU. Maybe you’re looking for the ability to remain grounded and calm during conflict, to be present when playing with your kids, or to find more reasons to smile each day; this work can help you with any of these and more.
-
Sacred Renewal is for people who are willing and ready to cultivate lasting transformation in their lives with curiosity, compassion and intention. Visit the About page to learn more.

Life coaching is forward-looking and revolves around setting specific life goals, such as a career change or relationship improvement, and working toward achieving those goals specifically. Therapy is a treatment modality to address a mental health concern with a licensed clinical therapist. While different aspects of the Sacred Renewal approach may feel at times like one or the other of these, it is fundamentally different, and is not a substitute for either of these, though it can be a powerful complement.
The Sacred Renewal path focuses first on cultivating awareness and understanding, then on embodiment through movement, breathwork, mindfulness, and reflective practices. Over time these practices become integrated into daily life. As inner stability, presence, and self-compassion grow, many people also find that obstacles to personal goals begin to dissolve and deeper healing unfolds. This is where the work may sometimes feel similar to life coaching or therapy, though it remains distinct from both.

I am a registered yoga instruction, meditation teacher, and mindfulness coach, not a licensed therapist. At this time, my ability to support these unique needs comes from the completion of trauma-aware courses and the trauma-aware lens of my certifications as well as my personal experiences as a survivor of myriad trauma. For more information on my survivorship, you can check out my author website here. Currently, I do not offer practices that are specifically trauma-informed, although all of my work is through a trauma-aware and trauma-informed lens, blending research, education, and life experience to approach practices in a trauma-sensitive manner.
About the Approach
-
This work is spiritual in the sense that it explores our relationship with ourselves, the world around us, and the deeper meaning of our lives. It is not associated with any religion, and people of all beliefs—or none—are welcome.
No religious language or activities factor into any of my work, though I will indicate when your own specific beliefs can play a role. For example, I may talk about connecting with the energy of the earth and the universe around us and note that this energy is what some people may attribute to their Higher Power or deity to help those with religious beliefs more easily connect to the specific practice.
-
No! In fact, any amount of experience is welcome, whether you’ve been trying different things for a decade or this is your first time exploring this kind of work. The practices I share with you are designed to be beneficial regardless of your prior experience and will all include instruction as well as explanations for why that practice is chosen so you can understand the benefit from engaging in that practice.
-
No! Sometimes from the way we’ve moved through the world, especially if we carry or have carried trauma, we may see ourselves as “broken”. Through this work, however, you may begin to see yourself as the whole being you’ve always been and find that you are even more yourself. This is not about changing who you are so much as helping you to be who you truly are.
-
The pace of change varies for each person. Sacred Renewal focuses on cultivating practices and awareness that support lasting transformation rather than quick fixes. Some people may notice shifts more quickly, while for others the changes may unfold more gradually over time.
